any lofty ideas? [Jul. 18th, 2006|10:52 pm]

I need some advice about lofts in Lehigh dorms. Im living in Brodhead next year and want to build one. Has anyone done it? Or do you know what to do or what not to do through seeing others'? I have the packet from Res. services, but it doesnt help much. I dont think just getting post extensions would be sturdy enough, but they say that if I build a whole new frame then I have to store the bed somewhere in the room...? HELP! ..and I only have about a month to do this... hah

i live in a fraternity and i made my own loft. my best bet is to ask an architect major? that's what i did and it lasted very very well. as to going by extensions i'm not sure. but since you have to store your bed if you build a loft, that sucks, so i would advise doing the extensions. i saw someone in taylor with that and it worked out really well, you just need to make sure you map it out.

wow sorry that was not helpful haha.
